OUR MISSION

Welcome

Thought Shift Therapy is a private practice founded by Cleopatra Zhonga, that focuses on challenging the cognitive distortions that create and maintain negative emotions and behaviors.

By focusing on language, unhelpful learned behaviors, and negative worldviews adopted from adverse experiences, clients are able to reframe their ideologies and create new purpose.

Our Therapeutic Approach

Evidence-Based Techniques

We have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.

CBT focuses on identifying and changing distorted thinking patterns and behaviors that lead to emotional distress.

Through DBT, we develop coping skills for emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.

SFBT is a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach to therapy that focuses on identifying and amplifying solutions rather than dwelling on problems. It’s designed to help individuals create positive change by emphasizing their strengths, resources, and existing abilities to find solutions to their challenges.

CPT aims to empower individuals to create a new, healthier narrative surrounding the traumatic event, ultimately promoting healing and improved functioning in daily life.

REBT helps us identify and change self-defeating thoughts and behaviors by challenging irrational beliefs.

ERP is based on the idea that confronting feared situations or stimuli in a controlled and gradual manner can help individuals reduce their anxiety and overcome compulsive behaviors.
